I worked with Harvey at Glenlawn Collegiate, spent many of my lunch hours talking with him in his classroom. - Posted by: Martha Colquhoun (Friend and fellow teacher at Glenlawn Collegiate ) on: Apr 11, 2020

I had the pleasure of having Mr Pearce for my physics teacher in high school, graduated in 1976. Mr. Pearce was always very busy with extracurricular activities, including track, and computer science. I recall him ranting one day as he was teaching our class that our generation was going to be so lucky, as we would only have 3 day work weeks, and even those would likely be half days, due to the advent of computers. I'm not sure where I missed that exit in life! lol. As well, if we came close to the answer on his tests, he would be very quick to remind us that close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, atom bombs, and dancing! He was truly a wonderful teacher, and may God keep his soul close to Him for eternity - Posted by: Ian Cowan (ex student) on: Sep 08, 2018

I first met Harvey at the SAG session "The Physics Bull Session". His passion for sports (track) and physics was second to none. He is one of the main reasons why I chose to become a physics teacher. Always will he be remembered and his ideas passed on. - Posted by: Brian Dentr (Student and colleague) on: Nov 10, 2015
